About ECE Department
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2008. The department runs one under graduate program and one post-graduate program to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all the areas of Electronics and Communications such as Tele-communications, Digital Systems and Embedded Systems. Students are introduced to core courses that include programming data structures, linear algebra, probability and random processes. Courses like electronics, signals & systems, communications, VLSI, and embedded systems are introduced in the early semesters. Advanced courses and electives in later years enable students to specialize in communications, signal processing, robotics, VLSI, embedded systems and other streams.
In addition to the strong undergraduate programs, the department has been playing a pioneering role in producing world class postgraduates. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students to learn and innovate. The department has distinguished faculty, all holding a minimum of M.Tech degrees from renowned institutes in India and abroad. The faculty of the department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publishes in national and international journals. The department also proposes to take up many research projects sponsored by both the government and the industry.
"To inculcate a spirit of scientific temper and analytical thinking, and train the students in contemporary technologies in Electronics & Communication to meet the needs of the industry."
Laboratory education is an important part of the engineering curricula. Department has Nine laboratories which includes VLSI lab and DECS lab. Department constantly modernizes its infrastructure facilities to keep abreast with the rapidly changing technological trends in the field. At present the ECE lab is having the following labs.
